Description
Buscopan IBS Relief Tablets provide effective stomach pain relief. It was first developed over 50 years ago, to provide stomach pain relief to people suffering with abdominal pain and discomfort due to cramps of the gastro-intestinal tract. It is now the most popular selling antispasmodic treatment worldwide, sold in more than 50 countries around the world. Buscopan IBS Relief tablets contain the active ingredient Hyoscine Butylbromide, which is derived from natural hyoscine, extracted from the duboisia plant. Hyoscine butylbromide is from a family of drugs known as antispasmodics.
After being swallowed, Buscopan IBS Relief Tablets move slowly down the digestive tract. But because of its particular pharmacological properties, very little enters the blood stream and it mostly stays in the gastro-intestinal system. Buscopan IBS Relief Tablets interrupts the cramp signal from the brain which helps the muscles to relax, thus allowing the pain to fade and the digestive processes to return to normal.
Uses / Instructions
Adults and children 12 years or over:
• Start by taking 1 tablet three times a day
• You can increase your dose to a maximum of 2 tablets four times a day, if needed
• Swallow the tablet whole with water
• Do not crush or chew the tablet
Warnings
In case severe, unexplained abdominal pain persists or worsens, or occurs together with symptoms like fever, nausea, vomiting, changes in bowel movements, abdominal tenderness, decreased blood pressure, fainting, or blood in stool, medical advice should immediately be sought.

Side Effects
Mild side effects that do not normally require medical treatment:
Uncommon – affects fewer than 1 in 100 people

• Abnormal sweating or reduced sweating

Ingredients
What BUSCOPAN IBS RELIEF contains
Each tablet contains 10 mg of the active ingredient hyoscine butylbromide. The other ingredients are:
calcium hydrogen phosphate, maize starch, soluble starch, colloidal silica, tartaric acid, stearic acid, sucrose, talc, acacia, titanium dioxide, macrogol 6000, carnauba wax, white beeswax and povidone.
