Thrush can be caused when there is disruption in the balance between bacteria and yeasts which naturally live within the vagina.

How to Prevent Thrush with Canesten Thrush Oral Capsule?
Canesten Thrush Oral Capsule can be used to prevent the growth of fungus and reduce itchy, burning sensations. To prevent thrush from recurring:
Avoid tight, synthetic clothing
Avoid perfumed soaps, gels, bubble baths, vaginal deodorants and douches
Change tampons or pads regularly when on your period

How to use Canesten Thrush Oral Capsule?
The capsule should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. It can be taken with or without food.
The symptoms of thrush should disappear within two days of treatment.

You should only use this product if you have been previously diagnosed by your doctor as having thrush.
Do not use this product if you are pregnant, trying for a baby or breast-feeding.
Consult your doctor or a pharmacist before use if you are taking any other medication and if you are aged under 16 or over 60.

Possible Side Effects of Canesten Thrush Oral Capsule: Like all medicines, Canesten Oral Capsule can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
As with all medicines, some people may be allergic to the capsule. If you are allergic, a reaction will occur soon after you have taken it. If you experience an allergic reaction, stop using this product and tell your doctor straight away or contact the Accident and Emergency Department of your nearest hospital. Signs of an allergic reaction may include:
Rash.
Swallowing or breathing problems.
Swelling of your lips, face, throat or tongue.
Weakness, feeling dizzy or faint.
Nausea.
The most common side effects include:
Sickness or stomach discomfort.
Diarrhoea and wind.
