Description
CosmoCol® powder, when made into an oral solution, is a laxative used for the treatment of chronic constipation and faecal impaction. This item comes in two flavours, Orange and Lemon & Lime.
Each sachet contain Macrogol 3350, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate and Potassium Chloride which work together to relieve constipation by softening the stool, making it easier for you to pass. At the same time, the ingredients help to maintain your body’s normal levels of sodium and potassium and water while you are being treated for constipation.

Uses / Instructions
Always read full instructions and cautions carefully and keep for future reference.
For chronic constipation:
Adults, adolescents and elderly:
- 1-3 sachets per day, according to indvidual response.
For faecal impactation:
Adults, adolescents and elderly: 8 sachets per day.
- Add 1 sachet to 125ml of water. Stir well until the powder has dissolved and drink.
Reconstituted CosmoCol Orange Flavour solution can be covered and stored in the refrigerator (2°C to 8°C), and should be used within 24 hours. After 24 hours, any unused solution should be discarded.
Taking more CosmoCol than you should can cause severe pain and swelling in your abdomen (stomach), or vomiting (sickness) or diarrhoea. If this happens, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember and then continue on as before. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
You must contact a doctor if your symptoms worsen or do not improve after 14 days.
